About SPIN

The SPIN group has been formed

By a group of Paediatric Neuroradiologists from across the world, with the common objective of delivering world class Pediatric Neuroradiology teaching with a clinical base.

It is formed by Dr. Ozgur Oztekin from Tepecik Education and Research Hospital, Izmir, Turkey, Dr. Kshitij “Kish” Mankad from the Great Ormond Street Hospital, London and Dr. Prasad Hanagandi from King Abdul Aziz Medical City, Riyadh , Dr. Ajay Taranath from the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Adelaide and Dr. Pradeep Krishnan and Dr. Manohar Shroff from the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada.

The SPIN group held a Paediatric Neuroimaging course in Australia in September 2018. Apart from the consortium members who were delivering talks, there were local speakers as well. The result was a well-rounded course comprising talks by Neuroradiologists, Neurologists and Neuropathologists.

We are deeply obliged to the ANZSPR who allowed access to the member emails and thus helped provide publicity to the course.

The course was very well received by the attendees. At this stage, we are steadfastly on course to hold the course in 2019 in Brazil.

Irrespective of where we hold this event, the aim would be to deliver a clinically relevant top class course, one that comprises topics that we would all have liked at any course. The endeavour would be to retain this format in perpetuity.
